Silvia develops research activities and coordinates the communication and information area of the ILC-Brazil, where, since 2012, she works with population ageing. As a researcher and manager of strategic communications, Silvia is responsible for initiatives related to the different interest groups and for mobilizing and maintaining networks to anchor ILC-Brazil in the Brazilian context and to enhance the achievement of its goals. Silvia contributes to a better understanding of active aging and age-friendly policies, and other issues related to longevity and population aging in Brazil. Based on her editorial experience, Silvia oversees the consistency and quality of the products, including the ILC-Brazil’s blog in Portuguese.
Silvia has over 35 years of experience in communication. She has a degree in Communications with specializations in Communication and Health as well as Communication and Education.
